Theatre is non-permanent, lives in the moment, on the stage. The curtains fall and WHOOSH everything is gone. And where did it all go? Into dark and dusty prop pools... No! Dont! Please stop! That's rude!

Famous literature critic Marcel Reich-Ranicki's giant head lies next to a fluffy red alien mask on a pile of scripts and old notes. The RETROFUTURISTEN have gathered strange objects in their inventory as time went by. And all these objects, books and characters tell of an adventurous life on stage. Let's get out of the novels! And conquer the Zeitgeist!
 

PHOTOAUTOMAT | WANTED / FOR SALE | HIRE ME I'M A FREAK

We send our characters to take their portraits in a photo booth. The machine, an object of urban space, witnesses reality and proves the existence of theatre's many phantoms. The black + white pictures are new pieces of art themselves and represent the next further step in the »chain of exploitation« theatre is subjected to. With these very pictures our characters are sent on an application marathon. Hire me! I'm a freak!
